More About Shane

My history with yoga is fairly simple. I attended classes 2-3 times a week after discovering how much practicing was helping me through day to day life. I took group classes as well as private lessons to further deepen my understanding of the avenues you're able to take. I was fortunate enough to complete my 200 hour certificate of Teacher Training at Green Yoga International at their school on the island of Majorca. It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Not only did I learn so much about the different paths and limbs of yoga, I learnt so much about myself. Learning that cold showers outside at 7am didn't really vibe with me, and learning that it's okay to completely lose yourself in your thoughts and spend a day in complete silence. To give yourself permission to step back and slow down.

"We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves."

I strongly believe that if you feel uncomfortable in a yoga class then the teacher is doing something wrong. All energy should be welcome on the mat. Everyone comes to a yoga class for their own personal reasons, be it from a fitness perspective or something more spiritual, everyone's needs are individual. I'll bring a positive and encouraging energy to every class and offer a number of variations in postures whilst letting you take it as far as you want to. Yoga is focused, it isn't militant and if something makes you laugh, use that energy to brighten the room, laugh and then take a breath and move into the next posture.
